- Checked the spark plugs with a spark plug tester and there was little to no spark being shown, the spark plugs were found to be fouled out to the point the were not wanting to spark at all. After replacing the plugs the vehicle would start and have an intermediate time of running with decent throttle until warm up and it would shut down. Found vehicle was loosing fuel pressure at this time. Connected a manual fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail to monitor the fuel pressure and found the fuel pump was supplying good pressure until it started to get hot and then started to shut down. You could watch the pressure on the gauge gradually fall to 0PSI. By these findings the vehicle needed the spark plugs replaced and a new fuel pump assembly.
